Art Critic & Art Dealer

Martina Corbetta – Giussano (Monza Brianza) 1984.

Art critic & Art dealer

Martina Corbetta is an art dealer, critic, and curator. After various collaborations with galleries, magazines, and artists in the contemporary art scene, Martina decided to open a private gallery to engage with both Italian and international artists. Driven by her passion for visual arts and her distinct urban/pop taste in painting, she founded MARTINASGALLERY in 2015. Initially located in Seregno (Monza Brianza, Italy) at the Corte del Borghesan, the gallery now boasts a prominent exhibition space on the outskirts of Milan, in Giussano.

Martina combines her brokering skills with artists, sales expertise with clients, and a vital part of her life: travel, which allows her to discover fresh, international artists and bring them into the Italian art scene. Since its inception, MARTINASGALLERY has curated a series of notable exhibitions: The Cover Man, the first solo show of Lucas Beaufort; Nest, a dual exhibition with Elisa Bertaglia and Anna Turina; Tigre contro Tigre by Michela Picchi; and Mix-tape, an anthology for Laurina Paperina curated by Rossella Farinotti. With the opening of the new space, exhibitions have included: History happens by Giacomo Morelli; Mirabilia by Luca Moscariello; Wormhole featuring Laurina Paperina and Albert Pinya; and Concerto. Singing over the bones by Elisa Bertaglia.

MARTINASGALLERY has participated in some of the most dynamic contemporary art fairs in Italy, such as The Others in Turin, SetUp in Bologna, and the Affordable Art Fair in Milan. Expanding its international presence, MARTINASGALLERY has also participated in Drawing Room in Madrid, followed by Urvanity, and for two consecutive years has crossed into the U.S. art market in Miami, exhibiting at Aqua in 2017 and Scope in 2018.

With her background as a curator and critic, Martina coordinates site-specific exhibitions, art shows, and events, keeping a close eye on contemporary market trends to offer the best purchasing advice.

ET-HEREUM

NFT COLLECTION

An NFT (non-fungible token) is a digital asset identifiable through its unique characteristics encoded within its metadata. Due to their specific design and minting process, NFTs are one-of-a-kind and cannot be replicated, altered, or modified in any way. Once created, they are permanently recorded on the blockchain’s public ledger for all to see. The term fungible refers to an item or good that can be replaced by an identical item with the same value, whereas NFTs are non-fungible, making each one unique.

Almost all NFTs operate within a blockchain network. For those unfamiliar with this technology, a blockchain is a digital, distributed, decentralized, public ledger functioning as an extensive network. The ledger records all network transactions, making them visible to the public. This creates a trustless system based on verifiable and quantifiable data.

ET-HEREUM is a project by young artists entering the METAVERSE world for the first time.
